Mercure Sheffield St Paul's Hotel & Spa

This was the cutest hotel to come to with your partner. the staff was so lovely and the place was so beautiful, I would definitely be coming again!

Robin, on the reception desk, was very professional and friendly and gave me a very warm welcome and a great first impression. The hotel, being directly attached to the Winter Garden, has a great central location and is less than ten minutes by foot to the train station (which is all wheelchair and suitcase accessible). All the breakfast staff were also attentive and helpful even early in the morning.

Despite some poor reviews, we found the hotel to be good. Decent size rooms, clean and good bathroom which were also clean. Nice bar area and decent breakfast. No complaints from 4 of us.

They charge nearly double what most hotels in the area do because there's a spa. But they charge extra for pool use after you get there, and you could visit it and pay the same if you're not a guest. They also don't allow children in the pool most of the day, which didn't come up when I specified I was bringing a child. So we had no opportunity to use the pool. It's also not the hotel advertised! ******************************************************************* you've probably seen this image they're using. It's not there! That's a nearby building they like the look of. Moved the TV to the left so it aligned with the bed. Pic attached. Gross. Wanted to take my card when we arrived. I know that's becoming more common, but it needs to be called out. I'd paid up front. Nobody needs my card details just in case they want to charge me for something.

Great hotel lovely big room in city centre, everything very near restaurants, shops breakfast had a great mixture for everyone would highly recommend

A water bottle thrown in the corner if the room missed by housekeeping not a major but not what expect for a 4 star.
