Shangri-La Yunbian View Homestay (located in Dukezong Ancient Town) is up one of the street, offering close proximity to 四方街, where there are nightly traditional dance going on while not getting any of the noise. The room is clean, spacious and cozy with thoughtful amenities - equipped with heated floors, humidifier and oxygen generator with single-used tube to treat altitude sickness. A highlight (and life-saver) was the pick-up and drop off service from /to any point in the Dukezong Ancient Town with the 3 wheelers mini 'truck' —saving us from the struggle of dragging suitcases uphill over cobblestone streets (ki-clogging our way through). We got to ride on the back on of the truck with out luggage during pick up. The owners were helpful and responsive, making our stay smooth and enjoyable. Call the property to inform of your arrival and ask for most convenient pick up location. We extended our stay and had the opportunity to stay in 2 different room types. both rooms offered the panoramic views of the town and surrounding mountains. The family room featured two separate bedrooms - one with a king bed and the other with 2 super-twin beds, each room has own vanity top, ensuite shower and a separate toilet. The twin room had two super single beds, a bathtub, a separate shower room and toilet, and a spacious vanity area. The homestay itself is bright and welcoming, with a lovely central sitting area, making it a great place to relax after exploring Shangri-La. Highly recommended for comfort, convenience, and warm hospitality!

I had a truly memorable stay at this hotel, thanks to the exceptional service provided by the staff eventhough they can’t speak English but they tried their level best to communicate via wechat and translate.From the moment I arrived, they went above and beyond to ensure everything was taken care of. What really stood out was how they helped arrange transportation for my trip to Lijiang and even coordinated my transfer for the Balagezong tour. On the day of my trip to Balagezong,the staff personally sent me to the nearest bus station by motorcycle to make sure I caught the right bus on time—something I never expected, but deeply appreciated. This level of care and attention made my journey smooth and stress-free. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and cozy, but it’s the warm and genuinely helpful service that made it special. We arrived a little bit late to the hotel but the owner/hotel is already ready to greet us. They are super friendly and super helpful! Our rooms are located upstairs but they helped us with all our crazy luggages with a swift.. Walking distance to the ancient town where you can get a feet soak and massage for 68yuan and the masseuse was really good! The owners got 3 cute cats running around playing and enjoying themselves like us. Highly recommended! The room is spacious, with basic amenities and there is also extra blanket given because it is freaking cold in Xiangelila.. We enjoyed so much!!!

We were initially worried about travelling to shangrila because of the altitude, but we got lucky with the hotel choice! The couple running the place is absolutely amazing!! The owner picked us up from the train station making us feel so welcomed and help us avoid all the hassle of the unlicensed taxis! Once we reach the hotel, they were also very considerate preparing Chinese desserts for us in case to ease up the discomfort due to the altitude (all FOC)! The room were also very modern with smart home system and heater available in the room! Oxygen supplies also available which makes it so convenient ( we really use it in the middle of the night as we lack of the oxygen)! The owner also prepare us with heat pad and lots of snacks as well! Highly recommended this place!
