"We liked our stay at this hotel. Liked the location and our room.
Staff are accommodating.
Breakfast was good but hopefully a breakfast buffet will be available too so as to have more options for the free breakfast included.
Definitely would rebook here for future travels and staycations."

"Every day when the baby and her father wake up, they go to the balcony to wait for the giraffes to come over for dinner. They can go out to play after watching them.
There is a special bus waiting area to go to all parks. It is very convenient to go every 30 minutes (you can see the real-time waiting time on the Disney World App. When you check in, the staff will help you bind the hotel to this app). If you need any service in the hotel, you can use a smart device in the room to summon a crew member. The staff are very enthusiastic.
There are many activities in Jumbo House alone. I stayed in the hotel for a day to eat and walk, but it was still not enough. I hope that when the baby is older, I will have the opportunity to come back to play. I didn’t play in the swimming pool, game room, night tour, etc."

"It didn’t start out well at the beginning. Property is huge but took awhile to check in due to long lines. After getting checked in and going to room on the other side and making it to the 17th floor, realized the key wasn’t working. I had to go all the way back down and wait in line another 30 minutes to address the issue. It was really annoying that I had to wait this long to get help with a simple issue. The room was nice and comfortable and had a great view but I noticed food on one of the pillows. I didn’t bother to alert staff. I just didn’t use that particular pillow. Aside from this, I think the food choices at Descend 21, could be much better. Th fries were overcooked but burger was just ok. Pool area was amazing!!! I could have stayed there all day! Hotel is also in a great area."

"Exceptional hotel. The only drawback is that it doesn't have the benefits of Disney's resorts (it only offers early entry - which doesn't make as much difference as the other DR's privileges)."
"I was real pleased with check-in and my room. I was really surprised of some of the things in the room. I have stayed in many hotel rooms where the sink is separated from the toilet and the bathtub. Well. This is the same scenario, but there was a sliding door that was kept you private around the sink, which I think is a very good idea. I love it. It was really great. Then I had another surprise in the bathtub. I have never stayed at a hotel that actually had a rubber mat to go on the bottom of the tub. I don't know how many times I've stayed in a hotel and almost broke my neck cuz a tub of slick. I love the idea of putting a rubber mat for the bathtub. It was great!!!! Front desk was very friendly and very helpful when I checked in and also when I checked out. Enjoyed my stay at the Rosen international inn"

"It is not an expensive hotel and is pretty decent for what you pay. It is very, very big and set up in the ”motel style” where all the of the rooms have an exterior entrance. They wouldn't let uber eats drivers come past the lobby, which is pretty annoying given that it is about a 5 minute walk to the lobby (and then 5 back), where as if the driver could drive right up to your building, it would take 30 seconds. Not fun when it's pouring rain (like in my case)."
"Overall experience is not bad but not as expected! Rooms are small and it’s missing a lot of important amenities for a family trip most importantly the microwave. The self laundry room operate by coins and the coin machine there is not working so you have to walk to the reception to get changes. They don’t charge resort fee but the charge $28 for a self parking which is far away from the building! You have to walk all the way there and pay $28 plus tax a day! There’s shuttle but don’t operate after certain times. Rooms are quiet, clean and full of towels. Location is not that great putting that you have to walk to the parking to get to the car and drive to the international drive near icon park. I don’t think I’ll book there again."
"My Husband and I love this place. It's always clean beds are comfortable very quite and very safe. Security there are always driving around and walking checking everything. The front desk staff are always very friendly and do there best to check you in. Thank you staff and Security for a safe a great place to stay."

GGuest UserThe stay experience was generally up to standard until I realised that room cleaning was only provided on demand and then put in my request at the concierge on Day 3. The lady at the concierge was cold and not helping to say the least. She kept telling me room cleaning requests must be submitted by 9am, which I think is quite inconvenient and unfriendly for leisure travellers. She reluctantly agreed to help me change towels and toiletries in the end. It’s quite funny because they ha be this slogan sign on the wall saying “if there’s anything wrong with your stay, let us know and we’ll make it right”. Apparently the lady didn’t want to make it right for me.

Ttracey grangerWe were a family of 5: 2 adults 3 teens booked for 2 nights. We got to the hotel late, 10:30 pm, the check in line was long so check in was around 11. We booked and received a suite, 3 queen bed, 1 bathroom, pool view. The room was cute and generally clean with the exception of some liquid splatters on the walls here and there. A key had been provided for each person in our group for the free hour entry into the parks however we learned that you also have to use the card key to turn on the lights in the room. There either wasn’t a fan in the bathroom or it wasn’t working and though there were plenty of towels there were only 4 washcloths (original booking was for 6 individuals). We parked our rental in the parking garage and though it wasn’t terrible, it is a bit of a walk to the elevators. If you don’t want to go off site for food the food there was okay (at least during dinner time, don’t know what they served for lunch/breakfast) and honestly reasonable priced with a range number of options. But there are plenty of options in the surrounding area. Any beverages and snacks of course are higher in price. The buses to the park were clean with ride being 5-10 minutes and we never really had to wait coming and going from the park. They cleaned the room when we went to the park however again didn’t provide enough washcloths. I called front desk about it however had to end up hunting down house keeping about an hour later to get one and even that was almost not successful. Overall the stay was okay and I guess you can expect to feel safe as I was told by my husband that a female security guard followed him to our room after he asked for directions. But again everything was good until we got home and realized our personal keys that we kept in the middle console of the rental and had both our home and car keys on had been stolen. Security did claim to check the room we had checked out of with of course no success and then afterwards it took some time for them to truly understand the situation, after being placed on hold a couple of times and then transferred to I’m assuming their supervisor who at first sounded irritated I was then told that there are no cameras in the parking garage. They did take down my contact information and description of the keys but also indicated that having “over 8,000 visitors” at the hotel a day that it may take some time to know if the keys are ever found. So in other words don’t leave ANYTHING important in your vehicle.

GGuest UserWe happened to come across the Residence Inn as our flights were delayed and we needed to find new accommodation as our previous hotel was at capacity. So I did book this quite quickly and frantically however im so glad I found this hotel.
If you are looking to stay some where that is less crowded and without a million kids running up and down hallways then this is a good choice.
There is also a lovely pool area with spa to hangout for the day and laze around.
The breakfast is simple yet satisfying with both hot and cold options and you can even make Mickey Mouse waffles.
The only couple of very teeny tiny negative comments (which not all at the fault of the hotel ) is
1) this is not an ideal area If you don’t have a car unless you like walking. You will not be able to simply walk out get a coffe and comeback unless you are willing to walk at least 20 mins and cross major roads ….However you can Uber eats food drinks alcohol etc for as little as $2.00 USD so you don’t even have to leave if you don’t want to.
2) our air-conditioner did not work so the room became really humid I didn’t bother saying anything because we opened the windows and the cool air helped cool the room down
I would definitely stay here again if I had a car or just wanted to have a place to chill and never leave the hotel 😊

GGuest UserHotel was located between both universal and Disney . Free shuttle bus however the shuttle bus is very busy. Hotel breakfast very basic and disappointing. Not many options. Bedrooms are modern decorated however some issues . Bed bugs and ants had to ask to change sheets . They didn’t change and when I asked for room to be cleaned I kept being ignored until eventually had to get senior staff involved . Ant’s definitely a problem in the hotel . Liked that they offered free full size bathroom products this was useful . AC is at one temp and can not be controlled so can get very cold in the room and bedding is thin.

GGuest UserThis hotel is in an absolutely fantastic location for Universal Studios - that’s without a doubt the key selling point. It’s next door to a DoubleTree Hilton which charges a lot more but is directly next door so with the Best Western you can stay just as close but for less. I had a problem with the air conditioning kicking in and out all night and the buttons wouldn’t fix it. I rang and reported it to reception the next morning, and when I returned I asked at reception and the person manning the desk didn’t know anything about it. I was worried. However I shouldn’t have been as when I got to the room it had been fixed by maintenance and remained on (phew) for the rest of my stay. The cleaners were great and serviced my room every day, leaving it lovely and fresh for when I returned from the theme park. The overall state of the hotel is a bit tired but this shouldn’t put you off booking - a hotel this close to Universal should mean you spend most of each day at Universal! If you’re planning to spend more time in the hotel, and don’t just need a comfy bed to stop over, then this may not be the hotel for you. However if you’re looking for a good price and a great location this is for you for sure! Just to note, there is a free shuttle to Universal it leaves once in the morning and returns about 5.30 (check most up to date times with the hotel). It’s free but quite small. Not a problem as Best Western is the first stop but it does pick up from a Hampton as well, and gets quite crowded. All in all, I’d give this hotel a strong 4/5!

GGuest UserStaff was great, room very clean, unlike my lay 3 visits, there were hidden charges at checkout, not related to services.

NNadègeThe hotel is just fine for an overnight stay as it is located 11 minutes from the airport. Which is convenient for us who had a flight with a late arrival.
Parking is free.
The breakfast is simple, correct and included.
The security service is good as there is a guard watching the hotel day and night.
Cockroaches? Yes we have seen it. Given the heat and humidity, that must explain their presence on the ground floor, but that shouldn't allow the staff to ignore their presence, leaving one the night of our arrival until the morning of our departure.
The bedroom is large, the two queen beds are perfect for a family of four.
GGuest UserThe hotel was not the most updated. The worst part was definitely the breakfast. Powdered fake egg product, burnt sausages, and soft mushy apples. One roach was seen in the bathroom.

PPatrick JM100% this for the solo traveler, not for families. Great location has its pitfalls from random people hanging out late nights and you're in location of construction going on around you. No security on site.
