The apartment was in a great location, just a 5 minute walk to Princes Street and a little further up the hill to the castle. We had a one bedroom apartment, was great to have the extra space. Unfortunately we were in the basement so had no natural light and had to keep lights on all the time. Due to the age of the building and being at the bottom the pump for the water was a bit unreliable and almost flooded the bathroom by not draining the water. We were woken up at 3am by the pump going every 34 seconds for over an hour (we timed it). Having a large fridge and microwave was handy and had we been staying longer could have made use of the washer and dryer. Overall we would stay again, but only if we were above ground.

The property is conveniently located, and we were warmly welcomed by a friendly staff member when we were completing self check-in. While the rooms were only available from 3:30 p.m., which was still fine, we were let down to find the induction hob out of service throughout our stay. Also, the TV felt outdated and was not very responsive. We were unable to access the gym using our room card. Overall, there is definitely room for improvement regarding the property’s facilities.

Superb location for exploring the city by foot, as well as great restaurants nearby. Our room wasn’t quite ready at check in time, which was a downside after a long day travelling but staff were nice and room once inside the room was well equipped for our family.

I stayed for a month, had to request almost everyday to have the room cleaned but during the entire stay, they managed to clean it only once which was disappointing but otherwise the location and the stay itself if good
